Ann Adams had not breathed on her own for over forty years, and though she could not use her hands, her mind was far from being handicapped. Paralyzed from the neck down, she was able to move only a few facial and neck muscles. Ann's hard work and determination brought her to the top of the list of famed handicapped artists. It was and is her heartfelt story that gives a certain hope to those of us who might be weary of spirit.
Ann's voice was like that of an angel's, and her calm, blue eyes helped to soften the discomforting feeling one often encounters while visiting an invalid. Her remarkable beauty assisted in communicating since her gestures were unable to free themselves.
