Since God made Mary without sin, her pure and perfect heart is capable of infinite perfect love of God. We, as her children, strive to imitate her thus uniting ourselves to God through the heart of Mary. Mary's Immaculate Heart is a result of her interior life formed by her joys, sorrows, virtues and hidden perfections. Her perfect love for God the Father, her maternal love for her Son, Jesus and her overflowing compassion for all people entrusted to her by Jesus from the cross all flow from her pure immaculate heart. The Immaculate Heart is depicted on the Miraculous Medal and Our Lady of Fatima asked that reparation be made to her Immaculate Heart. In 2013, Pope Francis consecrated the world to the Heart of Mary as Pope John Paul the second had done before him.
