The art of Latvian painter Larisa Aukon is a magnificent display of color and paint. I was blessed to actually cross paths with her at one Plein Air event in which we competed years ago in Utah. Her work has continued to intrigue me from that time. She sees and depicts the world in a unique way.
My reaction to artists that I am enamored with such as Larisa, is that I want to study how they do what they do. The subject in this painting is a cityscape. I have not been able to ascertain what she titled it. Sadly, Larisa departed this earth after a battle with cancer 8/30/2018.
